Its just not Cricket

I'm off the the Brit Oval tomorrow to watch day 3 of the final test between England & India. As I speak the series is all but over because barring a couple of miracle we will either lose or draw this one.

Now I don't consider myself to be a huge Cricket fan, certainly 1 dayers and the Twenty20 hold more interest, although I have grown to enjoy the 5 day version. I enjoy watching any sport anyway but I do enjoy watching cricket live. I think its more to do with the thought of a whole day on the lash with my mates rather than the spectacle of the sport itself but I am very much looking forward to it.

Now a quick word about 'Jelly Beangate'
a) Why the **** do these things have to end in gate, Pres. Nixon has alot to answer for.
b) its a bit stupid really, now as much as I dislike a lot of Australian sportsmen... they're bloody good at sledging, in fact an Ozy mate of mine, predictably called Stevo, has more oneliners than Tommy Cooper and Peter kay put together.

There are some great clips on YouTube of things heating up, a particular favourite of mine is when Freds winds up***** into slogging, which he promtly does, gets out and leaves Fred in stitches. Now thats far more damaging than lobbing a jelly bean on the wicket.

Thats about it anyway, back to work, funnily enough on a cricket resources for the ECB.
